Guest Des DLART Vintage Bottle Brush Tree Be Merry Card

This BEE is happy to bee a Guest Designer for DL.ART. The theme for the challenge is Christmas. You can click here to go to DL.ART blog. You can click here to enter DLART Christmas Challenge #169. I used DL.ART Vintage Ribbon Evergreen, which you can click here to buy from DL.ART, to complement my Hero Arts Bottle Brush Christmas Tree. I stamped the tree twice using silver ink; once on the red cardstock layer and second time on another piece of red cardstock. Used Martha Stewart fringe scissors to give the tree a 3D look. Used embossing powder for the star on top of the tree. Used Light Kraft Cover Weight cardstock, which you can click here to buy from the Kraft Journal Store.

Hubby was up in the attic after Milestone Electric came to perform an ac/heat tune up checkup and make sure everything was in working order before we turned the heat on. He found some boxes we had stored up in the attic. To my surprise he found a couple of vintage Christmas items like the Santa seen in the photo below with the card I created. The Santa is from the 1960s and to my surprise is in excellent shape; no damage, no fading and the original light bulb after being tightened and inserted in lit up. This made for a wonderful vintage photo opp.

These are photos from a 1961 Christmas in which we had a silver bottle brush Christmas Tree. 2nd photo is my older sister (on left), me (on right) & my brother (age 1 in front).
